Description
It is the chaos of setting up tents after displacement, after everything around you has been destroyed.It is an inner chaos within your spiritual world, filled with questions:Where do I go?Where are my children and my unborn child?How will we get food?Where is my wife?What do we do here?Why are we doing all this?All of this rushes through your mind in a single moment, after sitting down exhausted from walking miles to reach a safe point. You throw all your questions onto the ground, hoping they might come true if watered like plants.
Preservation Notes
We have retained these digital images directly from Mariam Salah. These works have all been destroyed in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, circa 2023-2026. We are still actively investigating and will be adding additional information during our discovery and findings through out the life span of this archived preserved art work from Mariam Salah.
